At Timber and Sheets Direct, we ask that you only arrange your Tradesmen once all the materials you require have arrived on site, been checked and signed for by a person over the age of 18. If you suspect that an item may be damaged in some way look for signs of external damage to the packaging and take pictures as you unpack and inspect the goods. All goods must be checked upon arrival for defects, shortages or unsuitability. Notification of any issues with your order must be given to our courier immediately.
Your signature is acceptance of the goods being received in good condition we cannot accept any claim for these issues after you have signed for the goods. if the damage has not been visible we need notification of this within 24 hours otherwise we cannot issue a replacement / refund.
We aim to get your Delivery within the timescale given but sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances this sometimes may not be possible. We cannot accept any liability for costs incurred due to delays, defects, faults or issues relating to goods in transit.
In most case our items will be delivered by a large vehicle or van so we need know that the delivery address is accessible. If any problems please contact us at point of ordering, we can usually find solution to most problems.
However, if we have not been informed of any access issues to your home or site and we are unable to deliver, you may incur a failed delivery charge, and any further re-delivery charge.
Day of Delivery
We use national and local companies to deliver our goods which means we cannot provide an exact time for delivery. Our delivery times are usually between the hours of 07.30-17.00
We operate a kerbside delivery policy. however where possible we will try and accommodate your delivery request.
The Delivery driver will assess the location on arrival and they will advise where best placed to leave the goods. Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions when delivering larger items we can only delivery to the kerbside. It is not our responsibility to take the delivery into your home.
The delivery cost depends on your destination, products and the quantity of materials which are being ordered. We aim to calculate the cheapest and safest mode of transport available for your order. An overview of cost can be found in your shopping cart.
Any returned order must be unused, unopened, packed securely and received by us within 14 days of your Delivery (delivery charge is non refundable.) Please note you shall be liable for the full cost of any goods returned unless an item was delivered to you in error or is faulty. You shall be liable for a 25% restocking / administration charge. If you require your goods to be uplifted this shall incur a further cost which shall vary depending on items being uplifted. There can be no returns on bespoke or special items. We aim to conclude any refund within 7 days of receiving your return however sometimes this may take longer.
